Zinhle Mkhabela is passionate about doing work with meaning and real impact – using law and international relations background to develop transformative solutions to Africa’s most pressing challenges, particularly in the field of gender and education. Deeply committed to centering African lived realities in strategizing solutions, using multiple lenses and intersectional approaches. Critical and creative thinker and problem-solver with an innate ability to understand and interpret complexity. Multi-disciplinary background with experience in the legal, education, and non-profit sectors. Currently a Ph.D. fellow at Wits University. Curious about constructions of black/African girlhood in international development, particularly within the discourse of educating and empowering girls.
